Starting a public log
Why I'm publishing my trading numbers, project ideas, and mistakes in the open instead of keeping them in a private notes file.
I've kept a private trading journal for a while and it hasn't worked. Notes go in, nothing comes out, and I never reread them. So I'm moving it here, in public, where being wrong is on the record.
What goes here
- Weekly recaps. Same format every week — what I traded, what the numbers did, what I got wrong. The PNL page has the running chart.
- Project notes. Things I'm building, mostly web, sometimes on-chain.
- Post-mortems. Specifically on losing weeks. Those are the useful ones.
How the numbers work
The PNL on this site is synced straight from my exchange account rather than typed in by hand, so I can't quietly round a bad week up. It refreshes a few times a day.
Everything here is a log of my own account, not advice. I'm learning in public, which means most of what's below will be me being wrong somewhere new.
